Holiday Weekend Service Updates:
On Monday, January 15, 2024, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Larchmont Village Offices and Larchmont Public Library will be closed. In addition, there will be no garbage collection and the Maxwell Avenue Recycling Facility will be closed.
Storm Preparation:
The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory and flood watch overnight beginning 10 PM this evening (Friday) to 6 AM Saturday morning, as well as a coastal flood advisory for Saturday daytime.
Fire, Police, and Public Works emergency services will be actively responding to all calls for emergencies. Please dial 911 for emergencies, or call the Larchmont Fire Department Emergency Number (914-834-0016) or the Larchmont Police Department (914-834-1000).
Consider all downed electrical wires as if they are energized. Do not go near them. Report all downed wires to Con Edison by calling 1-800-75-CONED (752-6633), or call the Larchmont Fire Department or Police Department.
Power outages should be reported to Con Edison through their website or phone number.
The Larchmont Farmers Market is opening up for its 2024 season! Every Saturday year-round beginning this week, 8:30 AM – 1:00 PM, at the Metro North Upper Parking Deck at Chatsworth Avenue (entrance through Myrtle Boulevard)!
As a reminder, when you are done with your Christmas Tree, you can simply place it out on the curb. The Larchmont Highway Department makes routine trips around the Village to pick up all disposed trees. Christmas trees must be free of all decorations, tinsel, lights, and other objects prior to being placed on the curb. Do not place your tree in a plastic bag.
The Village of Larchmont is seeking an experienced recreation professional to serve as the Recreation Supervisor. As a result of recent events, we have seen an alarming rise in antisemitism, among other forms of hatred. The Town of Mamaroneck and the Villages of Larchmont and Mamaroneck have zero tolerance for hate in all forms.
We want everyone to feel safe and know that we value all members of our community.
It is up to all of us to stand together and speak up – clearly and unequivocally – against hate, and specifically antisemitism, and any language or action that feeds or normalizes it. Again, when one of us is harmed, we are all harmed.
Community Advisory: Residents and park-goers are reminded of active construction projects at both Flint Park and Willow Park. Please exercise caution and follow work zone safety tips while in the vicinity of construction zones. Do not trespass through construction zones, even if there is no active work being done.
Below are highlighted work zone safety tips for the public to remember:
1. Only use designated detour routes.
2. Read and comply with all construction signage.
3. Do not trespass through construction sites.
4. Do not move or adjust barriers (fencing, cones, barricades, etc.).
5. Pay attention to areas closed off with fencing or other barriers.
6. Limit activities in close proximity to construction zones.
In collaboration with affected counties, NYS has developed an online form allowing residents to self-report personal losses and damages to their homes and/or businesses from the most recent rainfall flooding event on 9/29/23.
The purpose of this form is solely to collect information that may help State and local officials identify damages and to potentially develop requests by the State for federal disaster recovery assistance programs.
This form is NOT an application for disaster relief programs.
Please note:
- Do not use this form to report immediate, life-threatening needs. Call 911.
- Reporting damage is a voluntary activity and is not a substitute for reporting damage to your insurance agency.
- Completing this form does not guarantee disaster relief assistance.
- Please submit one survey per affected housing unit or business.
- This form is for damages that occurred in New York State only.
Self-Report Damage Survey Link can be found here

The Willow Park Renovation Project will see some on-site renovations this week. Demolition of the existing basketball court, fence, benches, playground border and swing sets are scheduled to begin tomorrow. These modern and updated park features, of which funding was generously donated, will make way for new recreation amenities for the Larchmont community to enjoy at Willow Park for many new years to come.
***CONSTRUCTION ALERT***
Beginning today, September 26, portions of Willow Park (including basketball court, fence, and playground area) will be closed for construction activity. Affected areas of the park will be closed until further notice. Any changes to accessibility conditions will be properly signed on-site and will be included on the Village’s communications platforms. Members of the public are advised to avoid areas of ongoing construction activity and to maintain a safe distance away from construction-related vehicles.
